BMTF presentation to the South East Europe Security Cooperation Steering Group

Under Chairmanship of Republic of Macedonia, on 4th of May 2017 South East Europe Security Cooperation Steering Group (SEEGROUP) held a regular meeting in NATO HQ in Brussels. The audience was composed by more than 20 representatives from political part of the NATO Embassies in Brussels. As a part of the agenda of this meeting Chairman of BMTF Steering Board, Mr. Krste Malinkovski, held presentation on BMTF background, concept of deployment and current activities. Presented information initiated discussions and questions related with the BMTF decisions making process, possibility of engagements out of the Balkan region, and future cooperation with international organizations. 

Since its inception, the SEEGROUP, as a unique informal group under the NATO framework, continues to be valuable forum of regional cooperation and venue for broader discussions and exchange of opinions.

Working as a flexible, informal, and open forum for interested Allies and Partners, SEEGROUP continues to enable participating countries to work together in the field of security and offers opportunity of launching joint projects and initiatives. All topics discussed at the forum serve the common goal of strengthening stability and security in the region, and have direct positive impact on the Euro-Atlantic security.
