Consequence management field exercise “SRBIJA 2018”

Balkan Medical Task Force took part to the consequence management field exercise “SRBIJA 2018”, jointly organized by NATO Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and the Ministry of Interior of Serbia from 8th to 11th October 2018 in and around Mladenovac, Serbia.

        

Commander of the BMTF was greeted by the NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg and the President of Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić

 

The choice of an earthquake scenario was linked to the type of geological and environmental challenges faced by Serbia.

“SRBIJA 2018” was a great opportunity to train the personnel in an international mixed civilian and military environment and to face the consequences of natural disasters.

During the exercise a medical evaluation of the C4I (Command module) and PECC (Patient Evacuation and Coordination Centre) modules was conducted by a NATO Medical Evaluation Team and it was concluded that this two modules are fully capable to perform their designated task in accordance with NATO doctrine and policy.
